Some are brave enough to accept it while some refuse to believe it. Some are trying to avoid it, some are contributing to it. Some are well aware of it, some hardly know it. Some are committed to undoing it. It is the current state of the environment. And we are the ones committed to undoing all the damage.
The terrible truth is that the environment today is in a grave condition of ruin. That, if ignored, this situation will cause great devastation which the human race is the least likely to survive. That the degradation of the environment, which is involved in every aspect of human life, is already affecting the world in many adverse ways. That, ultimately, we humans are the root cause of it all. That we will be the greatest sufferers. That our human actions have already begun to ruin the lives of not only other animals, but humans in different conditions, as well.
And from the realisation of this truth comes the responsibility- the responsibility to own up. To accept our mistakes. To pay for our actions. To face the consequences. To counteract. To repair the damage. To rise from the chaos. To bring back the peace and balance that we overthrew. To restore the environment. It is the need of not only the hour, but also the future.
It is all in our hands. We have to take action. Because we are the source of the crisis. It is our duty to heal the severe wounds which, if not attended to, will handicap only us, and noone else.So what is it that we all can do together, to tackle this terrible truth?
The first, very important step is to acknowledge it and spread awareness.
Then comes the knowledge of what is wrong and why it is wrong.
The next stage comprises of forming a strategy to control and undo the damage.
The most crucial part is the immediate, efficient action to be implemented.
This blog aims at spreading awareness, knowledge, forming strategies and organising activism programmes locally as well as globally. If you are one of us environmentalists who wishes to actively participate in this movement, you are welcome!!
